Nora Sarman – campaign shooting in Croatia – september 2016

Our annual collaboration with Nora Sarman happened for the third time in this year. We travelled to Croatia to shoot the gorgeous 2017 wedding dress line-up, and we can’t wait to share our little adventure to you!

The whole production took 3 days, we drove 900 miles, 8 people have worked on the campaign from locations scouting to the photoshoot. Nora Sarman’s recent campaign was inspired by the legend of mermaids and the tales of the greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite. Therefore, it was kind of obvious that, after the misty mountains, and the moody forest, we have moved our camp to the sea. It took a while when we have found our pefect site for the photoshoot. Earlier in August, we spent a day or two in Istria, Croatia, to find the best possile beaches, not just for swimming and sunshine, but by all means necessary, for a photoshoot.

We have spent 3 days in a small Istrian town, called Brseč to fulfill the requirements for an aethereal mermaid dream-like photoshoot, means, we woke up 4 a.m. to catch the sunset, and finish it when the moonlight was literally not enough to lit up our subject. One more day for the lookbook, plus travelling, hush, 3 days spent like a blink of an eye…

Expect the unexpected, of course. No, not rain. No such disaster. It was a rather casual unexpected. We have found a lagoon only accessible by boat. And since we wanted to include this hidden remote peace of land, we had to hire a boat to reach it.

It was a truly inspiring 3 days for all of us, and besides the hard work and the early crew call, the lagoon is a marvelous place we decided to get back anyime very soon…
