Ankert, Budapest, Hungary

It is a symbiotic relationship binding together the artist couple of Fanni and Zoli, one of them photographer, the other architect. Symbiotic in every sense of the term, as this lifetime collaboration is inherently there in their professions too. They influence each other the way photography and architecture does, and if this kind of collaboration works out well, it means it’s coming from the foundations, letting the participants reach together to infinity and beyond.

As the venue of their wedding they chose Anker’t, a cozy rustic ruin pub situated in the very heart of Budapest, blessed with the biggest open-air space amongst all the ruin bars of the city. We loved the way they used the authentic charm of the place; the ambiance brought to life by allying the naturalist decoration to the rough brick walls. The floral decor of the occasion was created by the Budapest-based Wild Flower Bar, good friends of Fanni, whose motto is: „wild nature belongs to urban days” (how well this sentence is exemplified here, by the way?).

These two artists imagined the perfect alternative wedding in an urban, industrial aura. And it’s thanks to their viality and good humour that this well designed, unique venue was filled with life, love and energy peaking in a huge party until dawn!
